ATTENDEES INFORMATION

2008 “Cotton” Ketchie Arts Festival - Friday and Saturday, August 22-23

The “Cotton” Ketchie Arts Festival is a two-day fine arts event in the heart of historic Mooresville, North Carolina. The event is held indoors in air-conditioned comfort and so will go off rain or shine. Its primary purpose is to raise funds to benefit the Stop Child Abuse Now (SCAN) Centers of Iredell County for child abuse prevention.

Friday evening, August 22, is a Gala that includes a “meet the artist” reception, live music by Night Shift, a buffet of heavy hors d’oeuvres catered by Nancy Brody’s Catered Occasions, and live and silent auctions of one-of-a-kind art works. All exhibiting artists are asked to donate a piece of their artwork for the auctions. Also, exhibiting artists will have their booths open that evening. Donations of services and merchandise from local businesses will also be raffled off throughout the 2-day event. There is truly something for everyone.

Tickets for the Gala are $50. To charge tickets over the phone, call Landmark Galleries at 704.664.4122. To reserve your ticket via email, send an email to Tina McCachern here, providing the number of tickets you would like and your contact information. Tickets are also available at Landmark Galleries, 212 N. Main St., Mooresville, or may be purchased from Mooresville/South Iredell Exchange Club members.

On Saturday, August 23, the festival is open to the public from 10am to 5pm. Admission is free, but cash donations will be accepted at the door. Don’t forget, this event is held indoors. Exhibitors and attendees will be comfortable inside the beautiful, air conditioned Charles Mack Citizen Center in Historic Downtown Mooresville. There will be food and children’s activities as well as all the great art. Directions to Charles Mack Citizen Center.

Thank you for your interest and support in the past, and we look forward to seeing you this year. Together we can make this year’s festival a huge success.
